Navigating the Store
Navigating is very simple and intuitive for users browsing a website powered by broadleaf letting the products be reached through several means.
Categories and Subcategories
Products are organized into categories and can be easily accessed by navigating through subcategories. 
Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs give a quick at-a-glance look of where in the category hierarchy the user is located. A click will take the user to the chosen category.

Featured Items
Featured items appear in subcategories and are a great way to highlight specific products. 
Filters
The filter interface allows the user to enter in filter values in two ways. Through slider or by entering in values.
By price or by manufacturer.

Managing Product Information
Viewing and Editing
The Broadleaf administrator allows for easy manipulation of categories and products. Categories can contain any number of subcategories and/or products.
Viewing a Product
- Click Category and Merchandising > Product
- Click Click the funnel to populate the list.
- To narrow the list down use the filter fields situated above the headers.
Creating a Category
- Click Category and Merchandising > Category
- From the list of folders select 'Store'
- Alternatively, you can dig into the hierarchy and choose a different folder.
- Click 'Add'
- Fill out the category details.
- Enter in 'Filters' for name and click save.

Adding a Product
For the purpose of this exercise we will add our new product to the category we just created.
- Click Category and Merchandising > Product
- Click 'Add'
- Select 'Base Product' and click ok.
- Fill out the product details.
- Enter in 'Filter #4' for name.
- Click '...' next to Product Default Category.
- Click the funnel to populate the list.
- Find the 'Filters' category.
- Click ok.
- Click save.
- To attach an image, go to the Media tab to add it to the product.
- To easily view the new product type the name of the product (filter) in the field above product name.
- Click the funnel.

Up-sale and Cross-sale Products
Broadleaf can offer to users different types of products when they are added in the up-sale or cross-sale fields. If product B is entered as an up-sale for product A, when a user browses product A, they will will see product B as a suggestion.
- Click Category and Merchandising > Product
- Enter Millstone and filter through Product Manufacturer.
- Select 'Breakfast Blend - Light Roast'
- Go to the Featured tab.
- In up-sale click add.
- Type vanilla in product name.
- Select Vanilla Bean
- Click OK
- Go to the website and browse to 'Breakfast Blend - Light Roast' to see the Vanilla Bean suggestion.
