The demo home page is useful to introduce a few Broadleaf Commerce concepts. You'll notice the links at the top of the page which can be used to launch into the registration and login process. We'll cover those more in the Registration Demo Guide
Notice the three main images on the page. Think of these as "ad slots". Each of these can be managed via the content administration system. Better yet, you can assign rules to each of the "ads" so that the content is only shown only at specific times and/or to specific customers. We'll show you how to manage that content in the Targeted Content Demo Guide.
Finally, the look at the navigation within the home page. Broadleaf Commerce offers a number of ways to control site-navigation. One approach is to use categories to drive site-navigation. We'll discuss that in the Categories and Products Demo Guide.
